Greetings, Colleton County School District Families & Staff,
On the afternoon of November 13, 2024 at Colleton County High School, two students were involved in horseplay in a class that resulted in one student being cut by a pair of scissors held by the other student. Administration has investigated the disciplinary matter and has not found malicious intent on the other student’s behalf.
The school district, as well as our high school administrative team, take all disciplinary matters seriously and implement immediate actions to resolve student incidents following the Student Code of Conduct.

Lincoln Tech’s presentation to several of Colleton County High School’s Juniors and Seniors was conducted on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 in Ms. Herndon’s business classes. Ms. Audrey Phelan was the presenter and she shared the history of Lincoln Tech, shared some reality situations with our Juniors and Seniors such as budgeting, and helped the students realize that some expenses increase with “fun” things. Mr. Edward Myers and Mr. Jacob Flangan with Lincoln Tech accompanied Ms. Phelan as well.
Lincoln Tech is a “hands-on” training school and will help create job security. Lincoln Tech is career specific and training is shorter in length. Are you what we are looking for? was asked by Audrey. Well, ask yourself these questions: Are you a hands-on learner? Are you looking for a career not just a job? Are you passionate about what you do? There are scholarships available, they are located in GA and Tenn, and if you are interested in applying, contact Audrey Phelan at aphelan@lincolntech.edu. You may also research the school at www.lincolntech.edu.
Ms. Footman thanks Ms. Herndon and her business students for allowing this presentation to come to their classes.
