Congratulations to the Colleton County Band of Blue for winning the 2024 South Georgia Marching Band Championship! The Band of Blue scored 94.725 and earned a Superior Rating. The Band of Blue won the preliminary competition with a score of 92.7 and won the Music, Overall Effect, Guard and Percussion Captions. The Band of Blue marched last in the finals and swept all nine finalist bands in the evening competition with a crowd favorite performance of CONNECTIONS at Richmond Hill School in south Georgia Saturday night. The Band of Blue continues its competitive season next Saturday, October 19th at South Effingham HS at the Mustang Invitational in Division 4 at 4:40pm in Guyton, GA .
The Band of Blue will celebrate the 2025 Senior Class and the season with "Band of Blue Day" on Friday, October 25th at CCHS in the band room at 2pm. Colleton County will compete in the 4A SCBDA State Marching Band Championships at Riverbluff High School on Saturday, October 26th at 12:30 pm. The Band of Blue will compete against 22 other 4A high school bands in the prelims. The top 12 bands from the prelims will march in the finals that day starting at 6pm.
