LIBRARY MEDIA CENTER POLICIES

Every member of the Cougar Nation is invited and encouraged to use the CLi©*.

Student behavior should reflect PBIS ROAR goals.

Cellphones, outside food, drinks, gum, or candy are not permitted. STUDENTS - An ID and a pass are required to enter.

We follow the 15 minute rule.

School Passes:

❏ Not required before or after school.

❏ Required for individual students at all other times during the day, including LUNCH.

❏ Scan / Sign in upon entering the CLi© media center.

Computer Use:

ALL CCHS members will follow the CCSD Internet Policy or lose privileges.

No individual will engage in the following activities while using Networked Information Resources including the Internet:

o Accessing Proxy servers (web sites designed to bypass the district’s web filter) via personal email or UltraSurf. o Sending, displaying, or requesting offensive message or pictures.

o *Using obscene language. Harassing, insulting, or attacking others.

o Damaging or vandalizing computers, computer systems, or computer networks.

o Violate copyright laws. o Using others' passwords, trespassing in others' folders, work, or files.

o Intentionally wasting limited resources. Intentionally using the Internet for non-instructional purposes.* NO GAMES o Employing the network for commercial purposes.

o Conducting online purchases. o Cyberbullying – The uses of technology to harass, embarrass, intimidate or stalk someone else.

❏ Students must have a signed Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) on file in the CLi© Media Center BEFORE using any computer while in school.

❏ Students must have a 2019-20 school year ID with an internet permission sticker. Picture, name, and must be clearly visible. Replacement sticker

❏ Students will receive a login and code for printing. Each student will have a starting balance of 100 prints. Students may purchase additional prints for the price of $.02¢ per page ($1.00 minimum) from the fee window. A copier is available in the CLi© for student use @ 10¢ per page.

❏ Scheduled classes have priority for the computers.

❏ Students with school assignments have priority before and after school.

Circulation Policy:

❏ Books: Limit of 3 for two weeks plus one renewal.

❏ Reference books circulate at the discretion of the Media Specialist. Late Fee - $1.00 per day.

❏ Overdue book fee: $.05 per day paid Quarterly. There is a 1 day grace period without charge.

❏ Lost book fee: replacement cost of the book, including processing and shipping. ❏ Damaged book fee: see rates for damaged textbooks in student handbook.
