Welding Technology

J. Edens

 

Jerry Edens (jedens@colleton.k12.sc.us) is the instructor for the Welding Technology courses available at TCTC.  Mr. Edens lives in Cottageville with his wife Chelsea who is a 1st grade teacher at Cottageville Elementary School. He has two sons that attend Colleton County High, and his daughter attends Colleton County Middle School. He enjoys working with his hands and building projects out of wood and metal. Mr. Edens attended Trident Technical College in the 90’s where he studied Industrial Technology specializing in welding. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of South Carolina and a Masters Degree in Business from Walden University. Mr. Edens just began teaching in 2020 as the welding teacher for Thunderbolt Career and Technology Center. He has worked in the welding industry for 16 years where he has learned to use many different types of machines that takes a project from blueprints to a finished product. Before taking the job at TCTC, Mr. Edens was a Real Estate Appraiser covering the Low Country.
